That's kind of a hard one to answer as it would depend on what was happening before the time apart. Since BDSM covers a lot of ground, there are multitudes of answers. I suppose that the safest answer is to do what would be the favourite activity of both partners.
However, a word of caution. A person can undergo a change in perspective over a few months. You certainly would not want to do you do plan on doing until you ascertain that it is OK with the other. That might sound odd from the perspective that a submissive obeys the commands of the Dominant, but it is better to be safe than sorry. (This is presuming that contact hasn't been common. If you communicate on a regular basis, this is moot.)
