Admittedly it is not the most stylish car on the road, but neither is it the least. Awards for that have to go the the Scion and the Honda Pilot. If you are thinking of either of those slit your wrists now and you can save your heirs the expense of the payments and the rest of us the very unpleasant experience of having to look at your ugly car when you are out and about.
But the Corolla is reliable, good on gas, holds its resale, and handles reasonably well to boot. I drive a Jag, which is none of those things, and I often look admiringly at those sensible Corolla drivers and think back to when I used to exercise some sense in buying cars for just what they are--transportation.

I drive a stick shift AE101 (1993-1997 chassis type) Corolla, and my life is just fine. Parts are cheap, it gets good city driving mileage (10 kms/liter), it rarely breaks down on me (once in a Democrat president-winning election year) and it gets me to point A to point B. With the seemingly perpetual increase of gas prices nowadays (and the domino effect of the rising prices of nearly all goods and services due to that), reliable, comfortable and fuel-efficient transportation is the only thing I need to get to work on time.
And to think my Corolla is secondhand; I got it in 1999 from a friend of mine who migrated to the USA from here in the Philippines.
Just because I drive a Corolla doesn't mean that life is cruel to me; my spice export business is doing great, I have no problems with my family, my in-laws or my workmates, and I still get to enjoy a vodka martini (shaken, not stirred, with a big lemon peel on the side to get rid of the aftertaste) occasionally.

No it just means you have given up on bad gas mileage and high gas prices.
My 2006 gets 33mpg highway. When I fill up it only costs me 30-35 bucks while most people spend more than 50.

No, it means you like to own a nice, cheap vehicle which doesn't use a lot of gas compared to other sedans and SUV's.

If you ask inane questions, does it mean you have no brain? What on earth is your question supposed to mean? It sounds ridiculous!
