The very fact that Jesus was given birth, and came out as little helpless small baby is enough to refute the claim that Jesus is God. It is utter blasphemy to claim that God came out of a women like all people, it is utter blasphemy to claim God came out crying and screaming and being helpless and weak. Such nonsense is insulting to God; this itself is enough to prove Jesus is not God. How can you claim that God came out of a woman? Are you mad? Are you insane? How can you insult God in such a manner, you Christians should be ashamed of yourselves for ascribing such rubbish to God.

The Moshiach

The moshiach will be a great political leader descended from King David (Jeremiah 23:5). The moshiach is often referred to as "moshiach ben David" (moshiach, son of David). He will be well-versed in Jewish law, and observant of its commandments. (Isaiah 11:2-5) He will be a charismatic leader, inspiring others to follow his example. He will be a great military leader, who will win battles for Israel. He will be a great judge, who makes righteous decisions (Jeremiah 33:15). But above all, he will be a human being, not a god, demi-god or other supernatural being.

It has been said that in every generation, a person is born with the potential to be the moshiach. If the time is right for the messianic age within that person's lifetime, then that person will be the moshiach. But if that person dies before he completes the mission of the moshiach, then that person is not the moshiach.

Ah, but Christians (especially Catholic Christians) believe in the trinity. God is God, the singular omnipotent, but God has three "persons" - God the Father (creator), God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit (advocate). I posted about Trinitarian theology in another question - I'd be more than happy to find the link, if you would like to read further on the topic.

Back to the matter at hand - Catholic belief is that Jesus is both human and divine. That is to say, Jesus is both categorical (he existed in space and time) as well as transcendental (outside of space and time). Jesus is God [the Father's] self-realization, God's word/self spoken into (or created in) space and time. God loves humanity so much that he was willing to humble Himself to speak to us on our level as a human being.

And I would think you to speak a little nicer to your fellow posters. You don't have to agree with me or my beliefs, but do not bash them. I will in turn give you the courtesy of not bashing yours. And no, I am not ashamed for what I believe.

No it is **NOT** blasphemy to ponder the fact that God Came into our existance the very same way as we all do.

It is for that very reason that Mary is honoured by the Catholic Church above all other Saints: Because God Chose her for His Own Mother.

Which is exactly why Muslims don't believe that crap.

They may believe Jesus was a wise and very spiritual leader, but NOT god. That's blasphemy.

Well, I believe we are all God and all of us come from women. Jesus was God but so are we- you have the power within you to be God.Jesus was just a God like all the rest of us!

But do you know that true Christians dont believe in that thing.
And if anyone wants to flame me about this statement, i just have this to say:

that truth is the truth and nothing else.
