hard to stop at just three reasons really, and I'll save the ranting and raving that Fionex made you endure lol
free health care is definitely a big help to those of us who have it .. however, this varies from province to province. some provinces have a co-pay such as Alberta, while others are, for the most part, all-inclusive like Ontario.
tolerance is a biggie as well. all over this great country of ours, you will people who are able to hold on to their own culture, religion and beliefs. there are many R.C.M.P officers who's turbans are an acceptable addition to the uniform. the states is a melting part, Canada supports your individuality.
education, while not free, is top quality here. not free after high school like some countries, but there are plenty of government grants, scholarships and government loans that are available to all students.
i hope this helps shed a little light on our great country. (condensed of course into the three items that i chose to be beneficial)

Do not move to Canada. I did.
You must apply to immigrate.
ex if you have had a minor criminal offense in the usa even a DUI you cannot even visit Canada.
Health care is not free. In two provinces that i know of you must pay fees depending on your income. Health care does not cover all things like in Ont dental, meds and glasses are not covered. you must still buy insurance for that.
Food, clothes and gas is much higher there. I am a middle age college educated adult and never figured that one out.
There is a lot of anti americanism within Canada and it can be quite nasty at times.
Until just this past year any student going to university, or college, they college is a two year school to them and university is any four year college, a student was not allowed to work while in school or off campus. The govt just change this.
To learn more about immigration to canada go
www.cic.gc.ca the offical immigration website.
rent is more in some places an car insurance can be quite high.
Taxes in ontario extremely high.
If you say bought a house in the usa it is a tax write off not so in Canada.
Canada often does not accept any foreign education credentials either. It can be quite expensive to find out what is accepted.
Canada, is not the USA.
one more place to look is www.settlement.org.
I came back to the USA.
I got tired of the rudeness, the constant bashing and false reporting by Canadian media.
They also do not educate the disabled as we do and the disabled are not accorded the same rights as they are in the usa.
Cars are much much more expensive.
that is all i have to say.
I married a Canadian and to me the culture is more like Europe
and is similiar but not like the USA>
There are a couple of tv shows shot in Toronto, one with Kelly Ripas husband Mark Consuelo but i do not know the name.
I believe a new tv show called Psych is also filmed there otherwise most are shot in Vancouver. More freindly to Americans.
also go to the government of canada website. i do not have the link right now but go to www.google.ca or www.yahoo.ca and see the governemnt of canada site it will be something like
gc.ca in the link.

LOL, USA Ally? Where do you kids get this from? The US keeps taxing our soft wood. They bring guns into toronto and now there's a shooting in T-dot every other day. We don't support the crazy wars.
The only thing we have ontop of the states is a bit more tranquility, better clean-air laws, some trees, free health-care, friendly people, and lots of little villages if you like that kind of stuff.
On the flip-side, we have some snobby/rude quebecois, who think they speak the french language, but end up massacring it. So stay away from them crazy animals :P. LOL JK, that was mildly racist.

Canadian values.
1. Peace
2. Order
3. Good government
Admittedly, these values don't always seem to be apparent, but that's what Canadians really want. They are the original "don't make waves" kinda people.
