on reading answers about bondage, someone mentioned joining a local munch group, what is one and where could i find one ?

A munch group is a social group for people who are into BDSM. It isn't a gathering where BDSM activities are going on, just a normal get-together. They often meet in restaurants or coffee shops. (Gatherings at bars are similar, but usually they're called sloshes.)
Usually these meetings occur once a month or so. There is almost always a person who serves as a contact. They can give you a schedule of when events occur and where.
Munch groups are useful for networking purposes. Since you are getting to know other people, they may be able to expand one's contacts if someone is looking for a partner. It's not a dating service though; just a way of meeting new people, learning new ideas that can be used in private activities, and a way to feel that you are not alone in your desires.

Its the gathering of students outside the 24hr Spar at around 2:30 in the morning in order to feed the monster that they're smoking session just created.

local munchies are like a dinner or lunch gathering of like-minded people who are into the lifestyle. Usually, its during these when they meet people and maybe find they're partners or learn more about the lifetsyle from long-term practitioners, or just share experiences. Pretty much like, regular meetings of like-minded individuals who's into the lifestyale.
"Where" depends on the place your living in. You can check the websites to know, but most of the time its just by word of mouth or by acquiantence i.e. i know you and you know somebody else who know somebody else and so on.
In some places especially, like here in asia, they're more rare and difficult to find.

you get .. KFC ,,, MCdonalds ... Hungry jacks .. oportos ... you put a game of Rugby league on .. you get Victoria Bitter ... you call all your mates on .. you put all the food in the middle and much on it ..
Thats what I call a munch group ..

i think its a group of swingers that get together and only perform oral sex on each other. or it may be a group of women all eating muff at the same time
