i've been taking hydroxy cut(normal AM formula) for about a month now, and have not lost any weight but a few pounds. i have not been excercising as much as i should though, so i will have to say that is probably the culprit.
i like the energy i get from it, and it definitely curbs my appetite. i do not have the urge to gorge myself like i used to. food is on the backburner(no pun intended) while i find myself focusing on my hobbies again.
i only want to lose about 15-20lbs(20 years old, 5'4", 150lbs. gained most of my weight from having my son 2 years ago). any suggestions/insight?
>>>my current workout program is "buns of steel", lot's of walking, and occasion DDR for fun.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

I am not surprised you have not lost any weight just by taking Hydroxycut. The energy you get from it simply comes from caffeine. You can get the same energy by drinking your coffee or taking a caffeine pill at a fraction of the cost of hydroxycut. How do I know this? It says so on the label. Under the Warning section it says:

"One serving (2 caplets) of this product contains about as much caffeine as 2 cups of coffee."

Also on Supplement Facts label it says:
"Supplying 200mg of caffeine"

There is nothing in it to curb your appetite as it doesn't contain 5-HTP. It is likely that your appetite suppression is a placebo affect.
In any case, why would you want to curb your appetite? If you need to loose weight, curbing your appetite is the last thing you want to do. Instead, eat a balanced diet reach in vegetables, fruits and lean protein. Protein and vegetables are the best sources to raise your metabolism and to help you loose weight. They will also reduce your appetite.

I took hydroxy cut for awhile, things you have to be careful of are:
1. Your body gets immune to it, which is why you take more every week.
2. When you stop taking it, it is easy to put on all the weight and maybe more.
3. If you skimp out on the exercising then you're just coasting at the weight you're at.

I worry about the idea of taking pills. Sure you'll lose the weight
but to keep it off you would have to take the pills for the rest of
your life.
