My Siamese cat just had 5 kittens today!! With the other litters that she has had I wait until they are weaned and when it is time for them to be ataken off their mother's milk, she will slap them off or get up and walk away. It usually takes 8 weeks, and before that I introduce them to kitty foor ususallu soft cat food the you get hard food and wet it a little until they can eat it dry. They should also be litter trained. You can place a ad in the paper to get them homes or Walmart has a special place to put a ad for homes for animals.I always give a little bag of food and a little litter to go with the ones I give away, to start them out. Try not to give them to anyone with small children as kids sometimes are mean to them. The people that live behind me have a boy who is 5 and they had kittens to give away and he would throw them on the floor and was mean to them in general. I told them about it but they did not seem to care. They had one that looked siamese and the boy blinded it in one oof its little eyes. So please check out the ones who offer to take them....Kittens are like babies in a way and need special care until older and they also need love too...Good Luck. Glad to hear you are a very caring person and care about your kittens,I know you will find good homes for them....

NO SOONER THAN 8 WEEKS. ANY YOUNGER IT CAN DEVELOP SOCIAL PROBLEMS, TEMPERMENT PROBLEMS AND NUTRITIONAL DEFICIANCIES LATER IN LIFE. IN FACT, BECAUSE OF THIS, IT IS ILLEGAL IN SOME STATES TO SELL ANIMALS LESS THAN 8 WEEKS OLD. The longer they are with the mother and other kittens, the better they are because of more social interaction, learning skills, and mom's milk. ( yes, they will suckle after 8 weeks, if given the chance)

Kittens are best kept with mom till at least 8 weeks. They learn so much those last couple of weeks with mom!!! Be sure to find good homes and don't post Free Kitten ads. That attracts people who feed kittens to alligators and snakes and labs that experiment on animals. Good luck!!!

No younger than 6 weeks. They still need their mothers milk up until then.

It's sad to let kittens go. Within the early weeks, you will soon grow attached and won't want to let go. Unless you are certain that the kitten is going to a nice home, please reconsider.
