You can do many things to have loose curls. First you can have your mom or friend french braid or braid your hair before you go to sleep. Then in the morning you will have pretty hair. You can also put rollers in your hair. For banana curls put the rollers in vertically. My sister is great at putting them in. Put use gel on your hair before you put rollers in. You could also take a curling iron. First put gel or hairspray on your hair. (so you won't burn your hair) Then, take the curler from the tip of your hair and roll it into your hair. Then in 10 seconds let go. It worked on me and I hope it will work on you! Good Luck.

Since your African American I'd start with using a relaxer on your hair, to soften it up. Then use 1 1/2 inch rollers to set your hair. It gives a great effect if you roll them opposite (one front, then one back) all along the sides and back, and then roll the entire crown back. When you take the rollers out after they set, brush your hair as little as possible. A good couple shakes of the head usually will suffice. Then spray with a natural hold spray. Viola!

well if you dont want a curl perm you could wrap your hair then when its dry get it curled with a big barrel marcel iron. or even a roller set on big rollers.Try a stylist that has this expierence .Call around and ask. y ou could wrap it yourself let it dry and have a friend even curl it at home in sections.

Go to your favorite salon and they should put you on these rollers that look like the size of soda can's, they are nice and the results are nice.
