These generally indicate an incomplete dream pattern which is needed to correct some factor at the subconscious level.. Might consider delving into this matter and getting it resolved.. but, can only do lit at the unconscious/subconscious level.

It could be from medication. Try to remember when the nightmares started and see if it can be linked to medication at all. Some herbal supplements can also have odd side effects. You can't and don't want to stop dreaming because that's what we do when we reach the REM stage of sleep which is the deep restorative sleep we have to have.If you wake in a panic but can't specifically remember a dream, you may be having panic attacks that need to be treated. You don't have to be extremely stressed to have panic attacks. If you definitely remember that there was a nightmare, try taking melatonin at bedtime or talking to your health care provider for a mild sleep aide that could help. Good luck to you and God bless

God bless you – because you are afraid. Of what only you know. But here’s what I know: The nightmare is a gift because your unconscious (your unknown self) is attempting (perhaps terrifyingly so) to reach you, to “tap you on the shoulder”. How to deal with the nightmare of “something pursuing you”? You must find d the courage to turn around and “confront the tormentor”. It may not be easy, but in the long run it will be easier than a life of avoidance. You must ask the tormentor: “What do you have to tell me so urgently? Please give me your gift – your knowledge – and then leave me in peace.” Then LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY and see if the new information you are given is compassionate, helpful and true. If you can subsume the new information (painful or otherwise) then the nightmares will pass, they will “die of neglect”.

You must propitiate the succubus that is tormenting you. Buy some moderately priced jewelry and smash it with a hammer before you go to bed. Eliminate caffeine, do not eat for four hours before bedtime and learn lucid dreaming techniques. When the nightmare begins, turn it into your favorite public television program.

I think the pothead is right. There must be something stressing your life at the moment... how long has this been happening? Nightmares and dreams can be pretty deep.

You may be eating too much heavy food or/and heavy drink before going to bed. Limit food and drink and give at least 1 to 2 hours time between food and bed. Do prayer before going to bed.

make sure your position is correct
don't put your hands on your chest when you sleep, and don't cross your legs or feets
if you don't remeber clearly of what happened in the dream, then don't worry
if you do, put them in words then sell a book or a movie

your having these dreams because you seem too have either somekind of pent up fear in your own psyche that isnt clear to yet or it is past life experiences that your brain is somehow remembering... sometimes that isnt a good thing.
