Toothpastes only remove surface stain, they will not change the color or shade of your teeth. To do this you need to either have a professional whitening treatment done at the dentist, or you can try the Crest strips. The crest strips use the same ingredient as what is used in the dental office, just at a lower concentration. So I would recommend trying the strips first and if you don't get the results you want, see you dentist.

Whitening toothpastes have a different mechanism of action as they do not alter the teeth color permanently. Instead they have polishing agents, striving to remove deeper stains on the teeth, which regular toothpastes are incapable of.

With all these options available, one should always consult the dentist, as he is the best person to direct you and counsel you on the most effective treatment, which would be equally appropriate for your requirements.

NO whiting toothpaste works. they can say it does because it has peroxide in it. But it isn't in your mouth long enough for it to actully do anything to your teeth. It takes at least an half an hour to actully whiting a tooth! I have trays that cost $350 and i have to leave it on for one hour!
