My client, who was born blind, was asked this same question by me. He responded that his dreams were of textures or dreams of touch. He described the sensation of being chased as well. All of the same dreams we have but with the senses they carry.

I dont' see why they couldn't think or imagine colors. Just because a person is blind doesn't mean they don't have an imagination. The colors that they think may not be what we see when we look at something, but I'm sure they are colors.

If they were blind from birth, then I would have to say no. We only work with six senses in our universe: Touch, Taste, Smell, Sound, Sight and Mind. Think about that, only six senses, there could be thousands of other senses that could pick up on a whole array of other things, but we are unaware of them because we are incapable of receiving these signals. The equipment is not there!

The mistake humans keep making is understanding the world from only their view-point. Relating everything to them self. If a blind person has never been able to see, they do not know what it is that they are missing, nor should it really matter to them, its only one sense.

Yes a color can be imagined. i once saw this movie where a teacher taught colors by how they felt. White was the feeling of cotton balls. Red was the reeling of a hot meatball. Green is a ball of clay. I wish i could remember the movie to help you more.

Very interesting question!! I've always wondered that. I guess if they were born blind they would not be able to, but if they were able to see at one point in their lives they could.

If they are born blind, no. All they see is darkness.
If they have seen before, they probably do.
