I've noticed while parusing (I think I spelled that wrong) the various areas of Y.A. this area has some of the nicest people, that also know how to type. Not to mention their education level seems to be among the highes.
Congrats to you all.

That first answer illustrated just how polite we are!
But, really, dog people are generally nurtures, with excessive parenting hormones....lol

If you have Patience to raise a dog, you are generally a more tolerant person.
You are welcome to peruse here, but if you stick around too long, you are apt to see the worst of us.

Thank you for the Kudos

Well I would refine your answer to say " Why do responsible dog owners......? Just because there are dog owners out there who are ignorant and cruel. Thanks though I will take it as a compliment since I am a responsible dog owner!! Well, anyway my answer to your question is.....because dog people learn from their dogs to enjoy and take interest from even the smallest things in life (pause while I let my 2 dogs back inside from the fenced in backyard because they are done doin their business) I myself have learned so much from my dogs that there isnt enough space to write it all down! but to name a few...compassion, unconditional love, patience, often brutal honesty (dogs don't pretend to like you if they don't!), burning curiosity and how to have fun just for the sake of having fun. Most of all though I have learned forgiveness and how to really enjoy nature and all that is in it. I have also learned that everything no matter how small or seemingly insignificant deserves the same amount of attention or investigation, and this above all has made me want to excel in and give my all in everything I do whether it be my spelling or my knowledge about plants, or animals or people or just how I go about my every day business. I see this trait in every dog they dont do anything half-heartedly if they love you they mean it and they love you with all their heart....and I try to do the same in every aspect of my life.

Are you kidding??? Have you read any of the posts???

I can't believe the ignorance on here, saddens me that there is such a huge lack of basic dog knowledge.

Maybe you were reading about cats or something.

Sure doesn't say much about the other YA boards.

There went the nice people comment...... Dog owners must have patience to deal with their dogs and they must either have a natural understanding of phychology or do a lot of research to know how to train them

because owning a dog requires patience and trust (and a little bit of selflessness)... and generally, you need to be friendly when owning a dog, ebcause dog parks are great places to meet like-minded people!!

Thank you! Owning dogs is a pleasure and it teaches you quite a bit. I wouldn't trade my boys for anything.
