Before the food came to the table I went to the bathroom, there was someone in a stall, sounding like they had diarehea. They then walked out of the bathroom without washing their hands. I was in shock to notice that it was our waiter! I was so astounded and in disbelief, that I didn't tell my wife and we ate the food as if nothing had happend. However, now she is in the bathroom throwing up. What should I do?

That is not only absolutely disgusting, it is a very serious health hazard. Hepatitis A is spread that way, and I can think of a handful of occurences off the top of my head where restaurants and grocery stores have had to shut down and warn thousands of patrons that an employee did not wash their hands properly and gave someone Hep (or e-coli) and anyone consuming anything within a certain time frame needed to go to the doctor to get tested for diseases. That waiter needs to be reported to the restaurant and if they don't do anything-report them to the local health authorities, in fact I would report them to the health authorities.
If she got food poisoning or got sick because of an employees actions, you could actually sue the restaurant, that is how serious of an offense it is (I am not saying sue, I'm just saying that's how bad it is).

It could be food poisoning but unless she is having painful diarrhea and bloody stools then its not E.Coli. She could just be sick, it might not be anything related to the food.
Now you should have said something to the management while you were there but now you should definitely call and report what your waiter did and make sure you mention that you think your wife may have gotten food poisoning from their restaurant.
Tell your wife to drink plenty of fluids to flush the bacteria out and if she continues to throw up she needs to see the doctor.

Here's news: a *lot* of people don't wash their hands after no. 2. In some cultures, you're a 'wussy' or weak or lame if you wash after the bathroom.
These people are out there right now...touching the money, doorknobs, railings and buttons that you will touch 2 minutes from now...
Wild stuff.

Call the restaurant ASAP and report this, otherwise the waiter is going to continue to make others sick. You can catch hepatitis or even e.coli from something like that. NOT GOOD.

CAll the restaurant... or call a lawyer. that is so foul. That waiter should be fired as he broke a health code and the restaurant should know.

I think you should stop asking dumb questions to get a rise.
You have been reported to yahoo for all of your fecal questions as they are for gaming purposely only.
Grow up and gain some maturity!

Find out your city's health department phone number and call them as soon as you can. They will send a health inspector so that they can investigate. Just tell them your situation and what you saw.
