This idea assumes that we know better than God what is best for us.
Some things we may want and pray for may not be the best possible thing to assist us in our spiritual growth.
God will not assist us in ways that will retard or hinder our spiritual growth.
When you pray ask only that God gives what will best further His goals for you.
To ask in any other way asssumes God is to dumb to know what is best for us. This is not the case.

Prayer is your way of talking with God. It does not relieve you of doing your best to change your situation for the better. It does not relieve you of your responsibility to do the right thing.
But what is worry? Some people say worry is feeling guilty in advance over something you have no control over. Sometimes worry is good-- it helps you keep your edge, it helps you re-think your own accountabilty about your own behavior.
Others say worry-- about the future-- is idle speculation and is the refuge of the lazy.
My advice is to pray, to take appropriate action, and then to rest. Rest in prayer again, knowing you have done what needs to be done.
God bless you,

It really depends on what you prayer for. I am not attempting to make a blanket statement but rather illustrate what I am saying. For instance if you were to pray for a husband you might expect that the urge to continue to pray would last for some time. Where as if you were praying simply for a piece of candy then the urge might not last lone expecially if you have the ability to buy that candy with your own money.
We are to have faith and the more our faith grows the more confidence we can have that God will answer our prayers according unto His will.
It is our own personal choice to stop the worrying. It is really a mental decision. If I decide to worrry I am going to worry and no one on this earth is going to persuade me otherwise. However as you see God answer your prayers it can help you to stop worrying and KNOW down deep that you will seee results.

Here's a bit of a different answer: It depends.
What are you worrying about? Are you afraid that God won't come through for you? Don't worry, He will.
Are you worried that you'll miss something, some sign from God that this is the right way to go? The only way to quell that worry is to make sure that you have God's Word in your head so that He can speak it to your heart at the right time.
Are you worried that it won't turn out the way you think it should? Go ahead and worry, but that's a useless worry, because it probably won't turn out the way you want ... no one knows the wonderful things that God has for those who love Him.

Don't try to PRAY over and above your FAITH level. Stick with what you know. Walking in FAITH take's time to develope. Example, if you haven't learned how to get your Healing yet, GO to the DOCTOR and take your pill's etc., and use what FAITH you got (on what level your own) too. There was a Man of GOD, early part of century, who started a orphanage. He could only Believe GOD for small thing's at first, over the year's he developed his FAITH, and befor he died, he said it was just as easy Believing GOD for a Million, as it was the small thing's starting out. It take's time. If you can't do it in the Spiritual REALM, then do it in the Physical REALM first.
Yea, try not to worry after you Pray. Hope this helps.

My worry has not ceased-but I have asked God to take it from me and to help me see what needs to be done. Worrying is wrong but it is a human trait. I think that God is helping me each day in finding my answer and I pray that it will not be long==but I want to make sure I understand what he is saying. So I have to be patient, although I do not want to be. But the timing is everything and God knows what we can handle and he will let us know when the time is right--I have faith in that.

try to maintain a close relationship with god so that you don't need to go and pray vigorously for something because you haven't prayed for it before. You should be comforted by the fact that you already have a bond with God that you can feel and that you can rely on. Then you will have no need to worry in the first place.

i don't think so. i believe that prayer will help things alot, but i also believe that God would want us to do whatever is within our power to assist in getting the prayer request accomplished. For instance, if you pray to get more income then you are also responsible to go out and try to do whatever you can to earn the money. God will open doors as he sees fit but you have to be ready to walk thru those doors.....or miss out on the answer to the prayer. Good luck
