eating the product will not cause any adverse affects....it is not absorbed by the digestive tract. Frontline is topical and never enters the blood stream. It is approved for use on children for head lice in France. Seizures are a medical condition and require investigation by a qualified Veterinarian.

Yes! The active ingredient in frontline (and most of the other drops for flea and tick control) work on the central nervous system. That is part of why the instructions are so specific about which drops to use for a given weight. Also, some dogs react more violently to it than others.

I have heard that if your dog has a seizure from the flea drops you should immediately wash it off, then head to the vet.

According to this site, it does in rabbits. One site told of a dog who developed a seizure disorder, for three years, coinciding with the month she first applied Frontline, but which went away when she stopped using Frontline.>> http://www.rabbit.org/chapters/san-diego/health/vet-talk/frontline.html

Merrick company reimbursed her for all medical costs.

I easily have used both Frontline, benefit and some different knock off manufacturers (Hartz & yet another puppy keep sort). The knock off ones I easily have chanced on left my dogs fur discolored the position it became utilized and the hair by no potential back to the conventional color. by no potential heard of any animals death from any of them. The Frontline Plus & benefit both artwork large from my journey. the adaptation became that the benefit became fairly in ordinary words proper for fleas. Frontline became strong for mosquitoes, fleas, & ticks. I easily have heard from some vet workers that Advantix works strong too , yet have not tried it. i became reccommended to attempt Revolution, yet no individual has been able to inform me the destiny impact on the dogs. i assumed it lined to a lot any way. strong success finding out. you ought to attempt them on your animal for 3-6 month time and word which one is the most effective. I have by no potential had any success with flea collars of any sort. maximum effective has been benefit or Frontline + .

It shouldn't...its one of the best flea treatments out there...if you dog is having seizures you should take him/her to the vet asap. I have heard of Hartz flea treatments having adverse effects like that but never frontline...go to the vet...

Yes it can, but if your dog has seizures it probably because of something else. We had a Sheltie that had seizures because of some levels of his metabolism being too high. Also if they get too hot they will have seizures
