tobermory is one of the most beautiful places that i have visited!
the water is crystal clear and there are many ship wreaks there, some of which are visible from the glass bottom boat tours or during the scuba classes available.
not too sure about any specific camp grounds in tobermory itself, but there is a small town called red bay which is about an hour south of tobermory which has may beautiful campgrounds on lake Huron.
such a beautiful area ... enjoy yourself

Yes there is camping in the area. By car, get on highway 6 and head north. It's also accessible by boat where Georgian Bay and Lake Huron meet. There is a small airport nearby for private aircraft but there are no car rental facilities at it.
