I usually follow this. I have really bad issues with low blood sugar and this is the best way I've found to work with it. I stay energized all day and I'm never really "hungry" so that I end of stuffing my face.

1st meal when I wake up: piece of fruit and hot green tea.
mid-morning snack: cup of cereal with milk (I use whole milk)
Afternoon "lunch": cheese and crackers and about a cup of veggies
dinner: I usually treat myself at dinner but I just watch the portion. I figure I get all the vitamins and minerals I need during the day so I'm ok. They suggest fish, chicken, or steak. I eat whatever I want--but not a whole pizza!
after dinner: cup of fresh fruit

As long as you're filling yourself with fruit, veggies, dairy, and whole grains you're doing well. Good luck!

It would depend on what your daily caloric needs are. Say you needed 2000 calories a day. What you would want to do is devide those calories up into 5-6 smaller meals. This has a two fold bonus. It staves off hunger and keeps the metabolism at a fairly high rate so that you burn those calories more efficiently. As far as what you should eat....Moderate amounts of protein and complex carbohydrates, low fat.

From what Ive been told is that you should eat about 3 regular sized meals a day, with 2-3 small snacks in between to keep your metabolism constantly working... small snacks like an energy bar, fruit things like that...

those cottage cheese double things are good (cottage cheese on one side, fruit to mix in on the other, about 130 calories), a cup of blueberries, a handful of baby carrots, one of those little tuna mixing kits that has a small can of tuna and some low fat mayo and about 6 crackers, a nice little snack that will tide you over. Cut an apple in half, cut out the core, fill that with peanut butter and sprinkle some walnuts on top of that--a very filling snack.

Hi darling! Take a look at your open hand, fingers together.See that? No larger than that...unless you are an athlete. Please make sure these meals are healthy and balanced. You know you're on the right track if you don't feel hungry in between. We are only conditioned to eat large portions. We don't need nearly as much as people tend to believe.

Not more than a single layer of food on a small saucer. I think you're supposed to eat fruits and berries and stuff. Eat low carbs if that's the diet you're doing,
