Embarrassing? No way. It's hot.
I had to wear an eyepatch after surgery to correct adult strabismus. It was kinda fun to wear an eye patch on a college campus. Nobody gets it though. The novelty wears off, but the pain doesn't. You'll heal up just fine, though.
Last night I wore an eye patch to Pirates 2. I tried watching part of the movie with it on, and I could still see totally fine. I took it off after a couple scenes so I wouldln't mess my eyes up or anything. I am glad that eyes heal. You should be, too.

The world is what you make it! Lucky for you, if you exude confidence and smile, have fun and enjoy who you're talking to, the eyepatch won't matter a bit! Most people are so bogged down thinking about themselves to worry too much about someone else. That's good news when we feel self-consious. Hey, it's good to be noticed! Even with an eyepatch. It's not bad, really. What if nobody ever looked at you, or your were born super ugly? At least you are luckier than that! Get out there and enjoy your days with the patch - oh yeah make sure you have a pic taken w/ it... you never know you might love looking at yourself in the patch someday!

Oh honey, I totally sympathise with you!! About 5 years ago my then six month old scratched my eye, and I still have problems with it. I have discovered that using gel eye lubricant helps alot! And don't rub your eyes too hard, especially when they're dry. I do think eye patches are embarrassing, no matter who wears em. Hope the info helps!
Much Love!!

Did you ever go to a doctor to get it healed properly? You really should because your eyesight is very precious. Wear the patch as much as needed.

First of all it is medically necessary, so it has to be done regardless, but actually I know many men who think a chick with an eye patch is sexy, think Kill Bill.

Hell no girl. You need to rock that thing. They have designer ones now. Go ask your local pharmacist.
