I bought some mochi in california at trader joe's, but since there aren't any of those around here, i wondered if there was anywhere that someone had seen some. it's a ball of ice cream wrapped in a dough that is delicious!

You want a little style with your sushi? Welcome to Wa, Lawrence's newest zen-chic sushi installment. From the high-energy hellos of the specially trained chefs to the cool harmony of its decor, Wa is the perfect blend of friendliness, style and flavor. Head Chef Su-Ken and his staff offer a menu that's more than just sushi -- vegetarians won't leave unsatisfied -- and even the desserts are exotic. Green tea ice cream, anyone? Foodies and other Wa fans really talk up the calamari, and the young, artsy crowd likes to finish it all off a flavored mochi, a rice and ice cream combo. 21-and-over sushi-lovers will appreciate the full bar, too. Wa's saki and plum wine selections are among the most extensive in the area. -- Morgan Snouffer

I had it at Zen Zero in Lawrence. Not sure if it is a regular dessert item though.
