The Kyoto Accord allows exemptions for 'developing' nations. This means that if the US signs, even more of our factories will move overseas, costing us jobs for starters, and the factories will lose what little oversight they have, (pollution scrubbers) and the pollution will not get any better. If we eliminate the exemptions, I would absolutely support signing.

Kyoto changed into not honest to the U. S.. It relied heavily upon the U. S. to make concessions even as not requiring a similar from different countries. One celebration is that China is poised to develop right into a larger polluter than the U. S. (that is at present operating a close 2d) yet Kyoto does not limit China's output of Greenhouse gasses. The Bali incident is being blown way out of share. The convention changed into not set up to set limits yet to communicate them, now there are countless countries wanting strict (and unrealistic) aims set into the p.c... the U. S. merely needs the convention to do what it changed into meant to do....communicate the count number number and are available to three consensus for the subsequent convention.

Need to examine what is in that accord before making any judgments.. Is not in any way of benefit to this country but is to the 3rd world countries.. as well as china and russia. they don't have to abide by it. Find out what you are talking about before making condemning statements.

It would be a start. But don't look for it to happen during this administration.
