Cats can go into heat as early as 4 to 6 months. They can also get pregnant this young...be sure to keep the cat inside so she won't get pregnant. Too many unwanted cats out there already...anyway to tell if your cat is in heat they normally meow alot, roll around, one of mine before she was spayed actually gyrated on my roommates foot trying to get laid. You'll so be able to tell and trust me it just gets worse...get the cat fixed asap and you and her will no longer have to deal with her going into heat. OH and they also like to rub their rear ends against you and I have seen clear liquid leaking out of the vaginal area...never blood though. Go ahead and make a vet appt to get her fixed!!

I don't know for sure, but here is something that might help you:
Here's How:
Immediately preceding oestrus, your female cat may become unusually affection, and rub her hind quarters against furniture, other cats, and/or her favorite human.
The Queen (name for female cats of breeding age) will vocalize loudly. This "calling" may go on for several days, unless she mates.
She will assume a mating position: head down, forelegs bent, rear quarters raised to expose the perineum ( this raised posture is called lordosis), with the tail raised and held to the side of the body. Her rear legs will tread rhythmically, as if walking in place.
Queenie may also spray vertical surfaces with a strongly scented fluid. She will accomplish this by backing up to the surface and raising her tail high. The tail may quiver, and she may perfom the rhythmic treading described in step four.
If your female cat does not mate, she will go into oestrus as often as every two to three weeks, for several months each year, until she either mates or is spayed.
Tips:
Unless she is a qualified pedigreed breeder, your female cat should be spayed. It will not only cease the uncomfortable heat cycles, but prevent certain serious medical problems.
Your veterinarian may be able to give your female cat hormones to stop the oestrus, if spaying is not immediately possible.
Female cats as young as four months can go into oestrus.

If your cat is an indoor cat she could very well be in heat, and you should have her spayed a.s.a.p. as her meowing will not stop and it will drive you crazy!!! If you pet her near her tail and she immediately raises her hind end as to assume position, and she pushes her tail to one side... that is always a tell tale sign. If she is allowed out and is in heat you will see male cats following her around.

When your cat is in heat you will know it. They will go beyond meowing and start howling. Their body will be very stiff and tense. They will role back and forth on the floor constantly. They will have a discharge as well.

The cat would meow alot, and be very restless. She would want to escape outside alot. Also she may act like she is having sex. I.E. raising her rear end in the air and scooting across the floor. Sounds funny but true.

You cannot miss when a female cat is in heat. Why didn't you have her fixed?? That's the question.

You will know when: yes, she meows a lot!, she gets very affectionate, she will rub on your legs constantly, then if you stroke her she will crouch and raise her tail (she gets in mating posture). (Spayed your cat so she will live longer and she will be healthier, I did it with mine and now she behaves better and she got heavier in weight and she looks beautifuler.

You will know because there will be signs of bleeding from the vulva. And yes, they become very vocal and hmmmm....down right "horny". :-)
