I'm sorry, but the All-American Rejects are poor musicians in comparison to what is out there.

I don't think there is ONE best musical artist. There are so many factors that go into being a great performer.

And obviously we all have different tastes.

I say it has to be Stone Sour, but I guess it depends on the type of music you listen to. I listen to just about everything except Techno, but if you've heard their new song "Looking Through The Glass", and listened to the lyrics. You'll know why I think their the best musical artist in the business today. Both lyrically and musically. They've been around for awhile, so check them out and let everyone else know what you think.

Cyndi Lauper , I would say is amongst the best musical artist today, she can hit the high notes without going off key and if you've listened to her latest CD "AT LAST" She has made old songs sound better then when sang by the original artist.

You have to find your own favorites--no one else can do that for you. What you truly love is the best. I recommend listening to some artists that have managed to stay out of the limelight. You can hear some of them on truly independent radio stations, like WFMU. It's both heartening and heartbreaking that such brilliance goes unrecognized. Of course, there are brilliant famous artists as well, but they are only part of the picture.
