Chill. You are FAR from the first to have a dog or cat who is diabetic!!!!!!!!!!! I have had 5 over the past 10 years. Some people cannot deal with the cost, giving the injections, all the vet visits......these people have the option to euthanize the animal. Many PEOPLE who are diabetic themselves cannot handle it for themselves!!!!!!!!!!!

Who is the "you" (pet owner) in your question?

I would agree with you that a person who owns a pet has a responsibility to give that pet food, shelter and medication in a timely fashion. This is what a responsible pet owner does. Anything less is not only immature and irresponsible but also cruel and inhumane.

Do what?!?! I think you have much larger issues than your dog being diabetic.
