Everytime I get mad, I get violent. I throw things, punch walls until my knuckles bleed, slam doors, yell, and loose control. I really don't want to act that way, but I can't help it. I don't mad a lot, but when I do, it gets really bad. How can I deal with my anger better?

I completely understand. Try to find a way to vent your anger in other ways. I prefer to go out for a drive with the music turned up, or I scream as loud as I can into a pillow, or I punch something that won't cause damage (like a pillow or stuffed animal). If those things don't work, try going to a local bookstore and purchasing/reading some anger management books. A lot of them offer workbooks where you can work through your anger in a step-by-step process. If nothing else fails, see a counselor. Often times such extreme anger stems from personal problems deep within yourself that you're unable to cure or control without professional help.

Keep your head up, hun. It's a long, hard battle (trust me, I know), but you CAN get through it with the proper support system and the right mindset.

I think you get upset because you care so much about the subject that you are getting mad over. I am that way sometimes too, but as I deepen in my spirtual practice, those happen fewer and fewer times.

Let me put this bluntly: Stop caring. Have compassion for everyone and everything around you, but realize that you can not change it, you can't, period. There will always be bad in the world and there will always be good, the trick is to stay in the middle, walk the razor's edge. If you want to talk more, my email is greenguy415 here at yahoo.

A few ideas..
1. Understand what gets you upset and avoid those situations.
2. Keep a positive attitude.
3. Stay physically active. Exercise relieves stress, and hence helps with anger control.
4. Learn to walk away.
5. Punch a pillow.

With maturity, it may get better also.

i use to be just like that i never took it out on objects that cant fight back , but, i would get so mad i would black out and then i would really hurt someone. stupid huh.... but now that im older and have my children and a husband and every thing like that i have calmed down i think sometimes that it is more controlled with maturity and the want to. if you really want to stop acting like that you can and there is a herb out there that will help you it is called saint johns wart and you get the caps at the health food store. i think you can even get them at walmart.

when u get mad on someone, understand they are Gods dumb child and smile. Fell like telling them they suck, then say with a smile and get it out, dont bottle it. But walk away after that. when u get mad on ur self, know that u r not perfect either & will improve slowly. Plus dont put urself in those situations on the first place.

Friendship is the only cement that will ever hold the world to gather. Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them so much, One reason why a dog is such a lovable creature is that his tail wags instead of his tongue. Do you see difficulties in every opportunity or opportunities in every difficulty.

you have to remember that your anger effects other people, those around you.
plus that is really bad for your health.
i have a problem with my temper but then again, i have to reign it back in for my children's sake. they don't deserve an angry mother.
it takes maturity and self-control, counting to 10 never helped me lol
good-luck
