I think the land belongs to that Caveman guy on the posts-forgot his name (has a baby picture on his aviator). It was decided already.

Sorry to bust your impossible dream.

Hell Yes what a great idea! Let me improve on your idea. Why don't we trade the United States for Mexico. Then all the Mexicans could come here and they could Deport us. We could call our new country The United (Mexican) States. I wonder where the Mexicans would want to live then. You made one minor mistake. California and Texas, by all rights, belong to The American Indians. The rest of the United States is their property also. So I say this, lets do it. Then, the stupid gringo will have a nice country. If justice is done , The Mexicans will give the Former United States to it's rightful owners. The Indians will be grateful. And the Mexicans will be out on their *** in the snow.

I am Native American. This is my land. Your question sux. Neither Texas or California belong to the Hispanic community. Just cause a bunch Mexicans go across our boarders and try to take it over. ( which by the way they should be deported for this dumb *** they are breaking the law here and apparently that didn't mean anything to them initially so they shouldn't be here in the first place. I am so sick of Mexicans whining about this too. If you don't like our country, if you don't want to learn the language. Cross your *** across the boarder and take a string of your hoodlum buddies with you then. Make no mistake about it. You may be here but if your here illegally, it's not your land.

My parents were deported from their countries. My mom is russian-german and my dad is hungarian-german. Before the iron curtain, they were displaced along with their families to Germany because they spoke German and not the language of their country even though they lived there. Germany didn't accept them because even though they are German, they weren't born in Germany, so their families immigrated to America. My dad met my mom here at a German dance and learned English and became American citizens. So, there are many Americans that know exactly what it feels like to be deported from their country. It's the generations from 1960 to now that have a problem understanding unless they have family from elsewhere. Don't be so generalizing.

America is worried about terrorism in the midst of immigration from Mexico. Terrorists are very sneaky. Since 911 immigration has become a big concern and the Terrorists are pretty much the ones who are making it look like a bigger deal than what it is so they can slip through. You need to speak to border patrol a bit and get some more information.

What a bad question. First of all. The people in Texas and
California should be US Citizens. ILegals are not US Citizens.
I am sorry that our governent did nothing in the past to stop
the flow of ILegals. Now we as tax payers are paying for
most of them to be here. Yey-yey I keep hearing that they
pay taxes. Most jobs they get are low wage. Some are
being payed under the table. They are not paying their share
of taxes compared to the services they use in this country.
They send alot of their money to mexico that is never spent
here. ILegals shouldnot have the right to stay in this country.
Why don't you sneek into Mexico? Do you think that mexico
will let you stay as long as you like? They have stricter laws
on lLegals than we do. You can't go to Mexico and let the
goverment take care of you. They won't do it. Medicare takes
good care of the lLegals here. Who's going to pay for that?
You Will- because I am already retired and I am not recieving
medicare. Most havin't got health insurance. That is why
if you do have H-insurance. You will pay for them. Llegals
are not screen for health problems . TB is back that was
for a long time gone from this counrty. Got nothing about
people coming here the right way. Our goverment let us
down. This has been going on so long that most Mexicans
think it is there right to be here. I know we can't kick them
all out. What we need to do is give them so many months or
years to register. If anyone fails to do that-they will have to go home. That will tell us who is here and how many.
Protect our borders they way we should.

A better question to ask is: How would legitimate American Texans feel if illegals were forced to obey the law they defied and go back home? Answer: Safer.

The reason Americans don't have to worry about your hypothetical deportation scenario is this:

We legitimate American citizens were either born and raised here, or patiently and respectfully went through the proper legal channels to enjoy citizenship here.

Everyone deserves to pay the consequences of disobeying the law and jumping in front of the long line of would-be legitimate aliens seeking US citizenship.

By what rights do they belong to the "Hispanic community"? I presume you know that they are States in the United States? Have you read the Mexican Constitution? Thought not ... in that it clearly states what belongs to Mexico ... and do you know, I haven't seen one word in that Constitution about Texas and California belonging to Mexico .... or any other "Hispanic community" for that matter ... how about reading up a few facts? You might learn something .....

You must be an illegal, huh? Using the same old lame "our ancestors were here first so it belongs to us" excuse. Get a life. Go back to your own country if your so proud of it. If you hate America and us Americans so much, then what are YOU doing here? By the way, that's another form of racism, telling us AMERICANS to get out of California and Texas cuz it belong to your people.

There are good people in America that crossed the Mexican-American border, but they have to do it legally. They know the risk of coming in illegally, so they can't be surprised to get deported. There are a lot of bad people that can cross into America unchecked. That is a problem.

Hispanic community involves more than them. I would feel terrible because we'd be breaking the law that way. You can't target only certain states YOU HAVE TO DEPORT THEM FROM ALL STATES EVERYWHERE!!!!

And you can't deport citizens - not white, black, asian - or even American-Mexicans that are really Americans!

OOH OOH I KNOW!!! maybe it's because we won texas in a war and a purchase. Yes they had it before us, but to the victor go the spoils. in the peace treaty, they gave us all the areas in question. Including the Gadsden purchase for the sorthern portion of NM and AZ. So they belong to the US, and can't be deported.
