I hate it when people just say ask the doc, cos you obviously want a piece of mind in the meantime, but I gotta say, it's probably best to ask whoever performed the procedure.

All the best.

The ovaries take turns releasing an egg. Some women have a little cramping on the side that is releasing the egg. If you can figure out if the good side is releasing the egg, then you can be sure to have intercourse when you're ovulating that month. I hope this helps.

If you still have one functional ovary and fallopian tube, natural pregnacy can still occur. As for whether you will ovulate every other month, our bodies tend to change and do bizarre things to compensate, particularly after surgery. You could begin to ovulate monthly, it is possible. The most important thing is not to stress, and let things happen naturally. Stress can prove to be a bigger obstacle to overcome when it comes to getting pregnant. Good luck.

My fiancee has this same problem. She ovulates every other month, but has a period once a month. Obviously, asking your doctor will give you more detailed information, but we plan to go about having children the old fashioned way.

Artificial Insemination may bring you several children. I'd be very careful with that choice. I would seriously consider a consultation with my OB GYN first.

I think that you will conceive in time. Don't be uptight. Just relax and let nature take its course.
