first of all I have a question for you...Why in the world would you drop out of high school? And the best advvice is unles you have a garenteed, well paying job, you need to go back to school. and get the education that you need. Once you graduate you will see that everything that you did wasn't as hard as you made it seem and that it was all simple compared to what you have to face in the future. If you think that you can go with out geting your deploma or GED you are crazy, most jobs that pay good money require that you have eather a GED or high school deploma. so droping out you are only hearting yourself in the long run.

Seek alternative resources for obtaining your diploma or GED. Online learning, Life Skills education center, JOB Corps, etc. Your education is vital, it is a means to assist you in enriching your life. It will open doors, that may ultimately be closed without your diploma. The future is making great changes, one is that without an education job seekers are going to face many challenges when seeking employment opportunites. As you get older you will understand the importance of knowledge, high school may seem bleak right now , but, stay focused on the prize (Diploma), it opens doors to college, employment, and self gratification, accomplishment.

i dropped out for a short while but believe me, without a proper education these days it is difficult to hack it out there. even if you were to go into business you need to have some brains and the brains get bigger when you go back to study. i am now 51 years old and i am back at school for a PhD - not those fly by night degrees but from a first class university. i have 3 children, all graduated. so what say you? if i can go back at 51, it is still not too late for you.

The advice I have for someone who drops out of high school is: Go back and finish! Get that diploma! At the very least get a GED.
It's rough out here and you NEED education to get ANYWHERE. Rare is the person who can make it for good and for long on bluff and bluster alone.
No matter the reason -- go back, finish, improve oneself.
Besides, education is its own reward.

Get your G.E.D. and go to a community college and get at least a minimum of a 2 year associate's degree that you can pick up a vocation. You will regret dropping out of school someday. If you don't go beyond high school, you may make it, but statistics show that you will double your income if you have a vocation or college education.

Enroll back in high school as soon as you can, and request a referral to your school psychologist. You have likely been struggling with family matters or learning problems that were not resolved. You need support, and it is there for you. Your school psychologist can assess your problems, provide counselling, act as an advocate, and help your teachers to provide accommodations for you. If you have learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia) you can get special equipment to assist you in class (e.g., software that reads aloud to you over headphones, etc.).

Did you know that people who have college degrees earn more than double what those that just graduate from high school? That translate into $100,000. per year (example) for a college graduate and $50,000. per year for a high school graduate. If you don't even graduate from high school, just imagine how less money you would make. Stay in school. You can do it!
