,Prepare:look your best, feel your best , do an activity or talk with someone that reinforces your best view of yourself,If you were planning to see a great new movie anyway, ask the friend, if you were going to buy a new car anyway , ask for company on the first road trip or drive,If you know of something your friend is really interested in buy tickets to a concert they like , a restaurant with the kind of food they love,But remember to make eye contact , bring flowers,Say,"I'd like to be more than just friends do you want to go ...

I think you would have to be specific.. "I want to take you out on a date to Restaurant X and then to see a movie." If you have a plan and ask her in person then it will seem more serious. Make sure she is not doing anything else.. You need to have her attention. And say "Date".. good luck!

You probably missed the opportunity. If you wait too long girls will usually think you are not a real "man" and won't take you seriously. As soon as you meet a girl you like you have to ask her out right away and don't show any fear (learn how to hide it).

I made this mistake when I was young. If you really like her, don't put it off. Just do what you normally do, and go into why you like her. Then, just plainly ask if she thinks that you and her could date, and reiterate that you really like her and think alot of her. Women/Girls loved to be complimented.
Don't push it if you see it going no where, or your friendship may be in jeopardy if she sees you as only a friend.
Let me tell you what I did: I had one girl melt in front of me (one of my best friends at the time), and sher literally asked me out. I told her that she had to deal with the boyfriend first instead of just saying, HECK YES-I'D LOVE TO DATE YOU. .. WELL, DUH... She was a great girl (at the time), and she would have dealt with him before going out with me. I quit knocking myself over the head about 5 years after it happened.
