If you watch the video, one of the things they want to teach them is the American flag is their enemy.

leelee: we are talking grade school kids, you sound like they should be college grads when they get to 7th grade - that's how far Mexico goes I am told.

No, I am not for coming from any other country to learn the history of the country you came from - that's not America, America is giving up where you came from and becoming American.

Under your observation, we'd have in grade school all the countries in Europe, Japan, asia, china, and everyone else competing for an American education.

I have taught ESL students and I know that they miss being home, but their parents are very appreciative of their lives here in America. My parents are from eastern European countries and are big believers that English is learned, but they are also big believers in maintaining culture. What is wrong with students maintaining their culture? Isn't that what America is? A melting pot? I do understand what this representative believes in the books discussions of the viewpoint of the Mexican people, but perhaps we should all learn various viewpoints from different countries including our own. Wouldn't this make us more wise and impartial to judgment? Let Mexico help if they would like. We can use money and books to help their children especially if they return to Mexico, but let us decide what they are learning. After all if we have a child go to Mexico, do they not teach them what they think they should learn and not the American curriculum. I have been to Piedras Negra and I will tell you that there is a private school that is very good and they teach both the American history and the Mexican history. But note the word, private in that sentence.

i guess i feel like the Mexican teachings should be left in Mexico. you don't Germans trying to weasel there teachings into the USA. I also don't agree with having Spanish as a requirement that children have to learn in school. and as for the Hispanics that are in the USA going to school before they can even start school they need to speak English. No more of this English as a second language, you are in America English is the first language and everything else second.

Every one wants a better life, thats why they come to America. I feel that the Mexican government should reimburse us for all cost associated with the welfare of illegal immigrants that is costing American taxpayers BILLIONS of dollars every year. I also feel not only should the Mexican government teach their own people but they should also pay for it. Why burden American's taxpayers for teaching persons who are here ILLEGALLY. Its not fair. Does anyone know how many illegal immigrant students are in the USA right now that we are paying for??????????

I watched most of the video, were the books given as gifts or were tax payers money spent on these?? And to answer your question H- E-double hockey sticks NO!!!! What is the point of doing that... honestly?? They can't do crap right in their own country, but want to send school books here?? That really makes no sense what is their purpose in doing that???

I think we should start loading school buses with amigos who don't belong here first, but we have too many gutless politicians in office right now. I hope people vote these traitors out next chance, enforce the law, you gutless so called lawmakers, you made them, or they are in place to enforce, NOW ENFORCE THE LAW or you should be removed from your office and never allowed to serve any public office again.
