As someone already mentioned, liquor will be a temporarily relief. Plus, it has less calories. But if you're looking for something good then it will have to have a high carbohydrate content. Most people like sweets. However, if you're going to pig out get something without simple sugars like breads or pastas. It's better than the other crap.

Chocolate crates a chemical feeling like love...
From chocolate.org:
"Perhaps chocolate's key ingredient is its phenylethylamine (PEA) "love-chemical". Yet the role of the "chocolate amphetamine" is disputed. Most if not all chocolate-derived phenylethylamine is metabolised before it reaches the CNS. Some people may be sensitive to its effects in very small quantities.
Phenylethylamine is itself a naturally occurring trace amine in the brain. Phenylethylamine releases dopamine in the mesolimbic pleasure-centres; it peaks during orgasm. Taken in unnaturally high doses, phenylethylamine can produce stereotyped behaviour more prominently even than amphetamine. Phenylethylamine has distinct binding sites but no specific neurons. It helps mediate feelings of attraction, excitement, giddiness, apprehension and euphoria."

Awwww... I prefer ice cream. I like to buy the lowfat kind cause then I feel slightly less guilty when it's all gone. Also, Dibs ice cream pretty much rocks -- eat that in front of a sappy chick flick and you'll start to feel better in no time.

Something crunchy, but not fatty
How about cut carrots, broccoli, cucumber and ranch dressing for dip
beans are supposed to be really good for stress busting - like a can of brown beans in tomato sauce

definitely chocolate for the theobromine.....even ice cream with chocolate in it, like moose tracks and others like that, helps a lot, even hot cocoa/hot chocolate, too. i suppose if you can't get anything else even that chocolate YooHoo *might* help. if you can, get the *good stuff*-chocolate with 70% or more cocoa-hey, it's a broken heart and that's a great time to spoil yourself...if you don't, who will? not a time for broccoli and bitter foods, that's for sure!

Definitely chocolate and dark chocolate is the best. It actually had the same effect on your brain as falling in love.
