If we where to do that the balance would get extremely out of whack and cause a really large amount of heating. So much that all the ice at the poles would melt, ocean levels would rise something like 300 feet, climates would change by a huge amount, many species would become extinct and life for people would be exceedingly miserable.

Even if we were to stop CO2 emissions tomorrow, the heat balance is pretty far off and so the earth will have have to heat up a fair amount to restore that balance. Part of the problem is that it takes a very long time for CO2 to come back out of the atmosphere and get reabsorbed into rocks and other places it is sequestered. It may take 100,000 years for CO2 levels to return to their pre 1850 levels. What that means is that the Earth is going to heat up some and will stay that way for a very long time.
