Is there life on other planets ?
What does the Quran say about other forms of life besides angels, jinn, man and the animals ?

Should we believe in aliens ?

I have come to form my own opinion but would be interested what other people think.

From being a believer of aliens in my younger days to be a doubtful one now, i have come to think that they may be just jinn in the form of aliens.

Yes. In all the billions of planets out there there must be life on other planets. I am sorry that I can not tell you what the Quran thinks of this, but I will tell you what I think of it.

I think that we ourselves, at our essence, are energy beings - come here to learn a lesson that can only be learned here on Earth. I think that we probably also can go to other planets to learn other things. Imagine a race that requires 3 to reproduce or a solar system that has more than one inhabited planet in the same solar system. Our race already has imagined these things in books and movies - I think some of us want to come back and check that idea out. And why not?

This physical existence - through to the end of the universe - is powered by an energy that we are all a part of (god). It exists only so that we (the children of god) can learn and grow. I think of it as educational, virtual reality programs with infinite (truly, Infinite) diversity.

Peace!

I say without a doubt there is life elsewhere. As far as we know the universe is infinite, even if it isn't, it is so large we cannot conceive of its whole size and the variety within it. Even if our planet occurred in this universe by random chance the odds say there are others like it, life evolved here, why should it not have evolved on similar planets elsewhere in this universe?

Our life form is based on carbon/hydrogen. There are many other elements in this universe, who is to say that life based on other elements does not exist and that the universe is teeming with life that we have not yet detected because we are looking for the wrong signs?

Our physicists are now suggesting perhaps that there are many universes too--how do we know that there is no life in those other universes? Doesn't the mere possibility of other infinite universes increase the statistical odds that other life--either that like our life, or some other form--exists somewhere?

I say we must accept that there are other life forms elsewhere, until we can prove there aren't.

As for the Quran, like the Bible its a work of men--men who knew little by comparison to what can be known. Its not relevant to your first question. And, have you ever proven the existence of the jinn? So if you can accept their existence, why can you not accept the idea that life exists elsewhere in this very big (and growing) place we call a universe?

i have talked to my pal about this and if I keep in mind properly he says the bible does not factor out something about existence on different planets how ever if there is of direction god created them so it would want to't in besides bypass antagonistic to the christian faith till you've self belief god did not create them. I on the different hand do not believe in god and picture that is naive to imagine were the purely planet with existence on it. There must be some type of existence available wether they have alien craft or they're only small creatures like a dogs I even do not have any clue yet there must be some type of existence available. I keep in mind many years in the past interpreting about a planet i imagine close to a admired individual interior the tremendous dipper that become supposedly round an same length as our planet and about an same distance away and the favourite individual become about an same length as our sunlight that they had stated they observed something blue on the planets similiar to earths water and there gave the impression to be land thousands like our continents even if the telescopes couldn't provide a lot extra element how ever I havn't heard something about that on account that. My theory is they got here upon evidence of existence there and are holding that expertise faraway from us like roswell not in any respect befell.

NO aliens traveled to earth from other planets.
Simply think about the loss of bone mass from the astronauts in space only a few years. Then multiply that by the eons interplanetary travel would take. At re-entry to earth's atmosphere tehy would have no bone structure.
Also, because such travel would take so long, supporting multiple generations of live would be impossible. Remember Biosphere? Not gonna happen!

There is a very good mathmatical possibility for life to exist elsewhere in the universe. We may never see other life because it is so far away.

I doubt aliens have ever been in our solar system because space travel at the speeds neccessary to reach us is pretty much imposible.

I have no idea how islam looks at this aspect.

We would be rather naive to think we are the only living things in all the planets of the universe. Just b/c we haven't found them doesn't mean they don't exist. There are billions of planets out there. There is more likely to BE some with life on them than NOT.

Mathematically thinking, it's very probable...think of it this way...in the entire universe, only a fraction of which we can even claim to know, what are the chances that our little planet is the ONLY one that's just the right distance from a star to support life? Chances are, with all of the millions of celestial objects out there, this combination is not unique...

It would be utterly arrogant and insane to believe we are the only sentient beings in the universe, especially when we look into just how friggin big the universe is. The idea of our planet being the only one where intelligent life developed is completely insane. UFO stories, of course, are another matter --

I think that we are very egotistical to believe that we are the only forms of life in this universe. Don't know much about the Quran, though, sorry.

Of course there is life on other planets. The numbers are so stacked for life on other planets its hard to imagine that there is only life on this planet. Religion is the last place I would look to explain or answer this type of question.
