He will walk when he is ready, trust me he is not walking that soon (and "walking " is considered on their own with absolutely no support or assistance. Before that it is him being assisted by you holding his hands and letting his legs figure out that they can actually make him move around - not walking as you are doing it for him, and then cruising which is using the furniture, other people, or whatever, but no one is holding onto him in any way. All babies exercise their legs from early on, let him do so. Don't force him to stand if he really does not want to, but if he is bouncing and kicking that is a great exercise for him. You can support him and he will have a blast with those legs - and arms. Allow him to mature on his own, he could walk at 9 or 10 months - or 15 months. No big deal, all babies who walk no matter what age eventually run and play the same - the time frame does not really matter. :-) Enjoy your baby!

Babies usually start to walk around 10-12 months of age. Only at that time after having learned to sit up and scootch and crawl are their legs strong enough to support them. They will usually first pull up to standing position, then cruise holding onto furniture and then only walk. These last 3 stages itself can take from 2-3 months. That is because it takes that long for their leg muscles to develop. It is not safe to get a baby who cant even sit up to walk.

He'll walk when he's ready to walk. Until then, support his head while you help him sit up. Once he's sitting on his own, you can "stand him" in your lap or on the floor by holding on to his hands. Lots of babies like to do this (but not for all that long), and sometimes they'll even sort of bounce. Next he may, or may not crawl. Then he'll probably hang on to the furniture and walk that way.

When he's strong enough, and has good enough balance, he'll go.

whenever the baby is ready too. There is now timeline set in stone and all babies will develop differently. my first son was walking very well by himself by 7 months and according to all the books they are not supposed to until they are 9/11 months. Just be sure you are around when your baby tries so you can support he or she!

Usually between 9 and 17 months. It's a big range. I've never heard of a four month old walking. Need to crawl first, and also "cruise" which is walking by holding on to pieces of furniture.

Theres only a time frame on that question, generally speaking your baby can start walking when hes about 4 months to about 8months. He will try on his on and fall alot but he will get the hang of it sooner or later =)

When I was raising my two sons. I would put them on the floor on a blanket. This would help them to strengthen their neck muscles. Plus, they would try more to get upon their hands and knees to try to crawl. When they feel that they are strong enough to try to walk allow them to try. Just please stand by them to prevent the child from falling and hitting their head or body on something and getting hurt. Small children also enjoy it when a grown up holds on to their hands and they try to walk that way. I've heard of children walking before they crawl. Have a good day!

That's a little young, can he hold his head by himself? Is he a first born? Usually a first born takes longer, but second or third borns like to imitate older siblings.

My first born started walking at 12 months, but her sister started at 10 months.
