All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The rule is the rule. ALL MEANS ALL. The baby is going straight to hell, no exceptions, no asking for forgiveness, straight to hell. Let's not monkey around with the literal translation of the Bible. If we can do it once, we can do it for all Biblical scripture. You only get to heaven by being baptized and accepting Christ as your savior. A baby can't even consider the concepts so can't believe and can't ask for forgiveness. It's clear, real clear. As clear as the incessant drone of Christians ever was. A rule is a rule, the Bible is literal. The baby goes to hell.
For those of us who are not afraid to die, do not believe in hell or sin, this issue is moot.

The answer depends upon being an Armianist or Calvinist when interpreting the Bible. Since the Armianist believes the only people who go to heaven are those who exercise their free will and personally place their faith in Jesus Christ. Since an infant or stillborn, aborted or miscarried child cannot do this they cannot go to heaven in the Armianist system of Biblical interpretation. Unless, they believe God has a different method for them. If God does, this must be proven from the Bible, which it can't. Since the Calvinist believes that God chooses before the foundation of the world who will be "in Christ", his elect (Ephesians 1:4) if one of his elect dies as an infant, etc... they wil go to heaven because they are his elect. It is possible within the Calvinistic system of interpretation to even believe that all infants, stillborn, aborted, miscarried children will indeed go to heaven. He may have determined that all of them are his elect. The Armianist only have a hope not based in scripture for the salvation of such little ones.

Death is likened to sleeping in the Bible. Jesus's friend Lazarus had died and this is the account at Luke 11:11-14: "These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. The Bible tells us that the dead do not feel anything
Eccl.9:10: " For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing--"
So the dead are not suffering--only in a deep sleep until God through his Son resurrects them back to life and there will be a resurrection of both good & bad people. Acts 24:15: "And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
Hell is the common grave of mankind--Jesus has the keys of death and hell. He will resurrect all who are in hell and then they will be judged--some to everlasting life and the rest will be put out of existance. God is love and would never torture imperfect humans-
Satan tries to paint God as sadistic and cruel. This he has accomplished through the false teachings of Christendom.
There are requirements that Christians must meet in order to attain heavenly life. They must be declared righteous by God's standards, they must be baptized, they must maintain integrity and remain faithful until death and then they will be resurrected as a spirit into heaven to serve as kings and priests in God's Kingdom which will rule over the earth. When babies or those that are not able to understand God's will fall asleep in death, then God will remember them and his Son Jesus will resurrect them to life on a paradise earth and they will be loved and cared for.

When GOD judge's a person to come on home, whether baby or damaged etc., HE Recreate's their Spiritman and take's them on up to HEAVEN.
All babie's and children that die befor the Age of Accountability, are Recreated and taken to HEAVEN. Everybody else is HIS business. Except the one's who can accept JESUS as their SAVIOUR on their own, then that's OUR business. Chose wisely.

When King David produced a child with Bathsheba, didn't Nathan the prophet reveal to David that his newborn would die, because of his sin, adultery and murder. But David said after his son died that he would later end up going where he had gone. And David was looking forward to being with his son again. Was David looking forward to being with his son in the grave? or was he really saying he would be in heaven with him? Check it out - I belive the story is in 1st or 2nd Kings, or Samuel somewhere? I should know my bible better than that. There you go.

God loves those babies more than you ever could and He doesn't hold any sin they might have against them because they couldn't possibly understand what they've done.

I listened to a podcast about this once, apparently they are in a state of limbo where they are neither in heaven nor hell, they are kind of in an in between state where they are happy.

Try taking some critical thinking or logic courses. When everyone dies they just do that, they die. Everything dies and that is it really. Stop deluding yourself.
