Well it depends, 1. When was the last time you got a speeding ticket ? 2. What other moving violations do you have ? 3. What state and county do you live in 4. How have you pleaded in the past to other violations on your record, if you have a record ? There are several scenarios, but my suggestion would be is to go and get your DMV record, and try and go to court and talk to the solicitor 1st, to see if you can plea no- low (meaning you are not admitting that you are innocent or guilty) that is if the court allows this, or if they find you guilty, try and see if you can take a drivers ed class to try and reduce the increase it will cost on your insurance, because it will go up. If you decide to go to court try and change the date, maybe the officer will forget to come and they will dismiss it, worse case scenario, plead NOT GUILTY, it's worth a try, Good Luck...

from $200.00 more a year or plus, depends. Speeding tickets can be steep, as can failure to stop, for these cause the most accidents.
