We just got our kitten 3 weeks ago and he's only 9 weeks old. Just today he hasn't been eating and he's been throwing up about every 2 hours. Tomorrow we're leaving to go out of state for a week and we were leaving him with some friends of ours. But now he's sick, what should we do?

Take to vet, emergency if possible, or tell you friends to take to vet, and then you can pay them back when you get back into town. Ask them to keep you informed on the condition.

I hope they will do this for you. In the meantime, keep plenty of fluids around.

I doubt if it`s a hair ball at such a young age , but could be worms from mothers milk ,please see a Vet,if at all possible, some are open late as 8:pm for emergencies.May God be with your little kitten, and you on vacation.

If you care, either cancel the trip or postpone it and take him to the vet, or wait another day, let him dehydrate some more, and let the friend do it. Whatever your choice, give him plenty of fluids.

Hmm, that's a tough one. Call your vet, talk to him. If he has an easy solution (something your friends can handle) ask them to do it for you. If not, well, it looks like they get the cat anyway unless you want to take it along. Good luck!
