Take him out to dinner or some place fun and pay for it and try to make it extra special. That way you can enjoy your anniversary together as a special day instead of just a boring gift.

Get him a teddy bear. You know one of those that holds a heart that says something. Most of them say sweetie, but I got my bf one that said I love u. But there was a heart there for the love word.

She could make him a picture frame with collage like scrap booking related to something/someone he really likes/loves. It would show that she has put a little of herself into it and also that she cares enough to know what he cherishes.
Hope it helps.

Guys do like crazy boxers, but if she wants to go sentimental, she can still be inexpensive and get him a cool watch to always wear and think of her.

Boxer shorts, no....your a way too young for such personal/intimate items...maybe a poster for his room of his favorite music group, treat him to a movie...

it would help if u told us what the guy is like...but find something that will touch his heart (and it doesn't have to bought from the store....she could write him a poem/story or sing him a song)
