I thought Canada belonged to the continent of America as well as USA?

Anyway, US citizens have the absolutely worst died in the entire world. No other country even comes near. Most in USA eats daily at places like McDonalds and Kentucky Fried Chicken, which also serve "food" in larger-than-normal portions with increased fat content. Canadians generally gets much more exercise and have a healthier died consisting mainly of home-made food. It may be you're thinking about the larger border-cities, which have been flooded with US culture and eating habbits. Fortunately it is far from the entire Canada that has suffered thus.

Canadians are catching up unfortunately. Over 50% of Canadians are overweight and 70% of children don't get their 5 servings of vegetables per day. This was recently reported on CTV news.

One reason could be that the Canadian rules and regulations regarding food are stricter than American, or so it seems. Plus we don't have as many fast food places and the Americans. I've been to the states and you're inundated with fast food restaurants and advertising.

Throught out history we have been searching for quick and delicious food. We have reached that with the fast food. There is enough fast food that it might be liked by everyone but if you look hard enough there is something there for anyone. American society has always been about getting the most out of our time. Fastfood fits the american way like a T. We suck...

It's not just our diets. Most american kids get little to no exercise. Add that with diets almost entirely composed of the worst kind of starchs, fats and sugars over a number of years; and voila, you have the typical american. We like the quick fix to everything, and losing weight is never quick.

It doesn't have anything to do with Mad Cow Disease or anything else like that.

It has to do with Americans being lazy and always finding an easy way to do stuff: from remote controls (from so long ago) to voice recognition-EVERYTHING, we have no desire to do ANY work whatsoever. Not that all people are like that, but lots and lots of them...

...including me...
