There are alot of different ways to loose weight, but in all honesty the best is still watching what you eat and excersizing every day. I'm 15 and when I want to tone my stomache and legs I do jumps (kind of like what cheerledaers do for warm-up) to tone my thighs and sit-down strtches and crunches to help with my stomache. Results can show as soon as 10 days and it also really helps with tiredness. When you are in shape you feel more energized and not so sluggish. I hope I helped and Good Luck!

I hope you're not an already fairly fit young lady who wants to look like Kate Moss or whoever the new stick out there is.
If you really are overweight, I'll caution you against trying anything that will make you lose weight fast. Nothing that helps you do it fast is healthy for you - over the counter drugs can have serious health consequences (people were dying from the drug Ephedra, for instance, which promised quick weight loss results).
The absolute best way to lose weight and KEEP it off is changing your eating habits and adding exercise to your day. Give up soda or any caffeine you might have (it's empty calories and caffeine can cause you to retain small amounts of water, which adds weight). Drink water and 2% milk (at your age, I think 3 8-oz glasses of milk is reccomended, and then drink 5 8-oz glasses of water). New studies show that calcium helps you lose weight. If you don't like milk, substitute servings of low-fat yogurt or low-fat cheese for the milk and add an additional couple of glasses of water. There is evidence that the body can mistake thirst for hunger, so if you feel hungry and it's not mealtime, try drinking the water first. It naturally fills you up and is good for you - it flushes toxins and salt (which helps you retain water). Your body still needs to grow, so make sure you're getting adequate calories. Going on some cabbage soup diet or eating only lettuce won't fulfill your body's needs and can cause long-term damage to anything from your heart to your liver. Not good!
Eat about 5-6 *small* meals a day - balanced! Proteins, veggies, healthy whole grains (air popped popcorn or 94% fat free microwave popcorn - careful of your serving sizes - are wonderful ways to get your whole grains in and still have a low-cal healthy snack - much better than potato chips!) and dairy.
Exercise will help you target those "problem" areas. Do crunches to help tone your tummy and walking is good for everything, especially your legs.
Please don't get so focused on "fast" that you lose sight of healthy. You're at a perfect age to start thinking about healthy eating habits for your whole life. Trust me, I'm 40 and I wish I would have started at about your age. It's much harder to change when you're older.
"Quick" fixes MIGHT help you lose weight faster, but you are far more likely to gain the weight back and have more medical problems when you do crash diets. Life changes are far more appropriate, and you'll do much better in the long run with them ;)
Good luck, and please make sure you talk to your pediatrician about whether these are good alternatives for you. You should always have a meeting with your doctor before you begin any sort of exercise or diet regimen.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

since it's summer swimming is going to work wonders on those areas of your body. Walking does amazing things also. I stay slim walking most every day. Anywhere from half an hour to several hours. Excercise is best combined with watching the food you eat. lower the fats increase the veggies and fruits. Remember your body is going to go through a lot of changing for the next several years so dont do anything extreme.

First you can't choose where you will loose weight.
Increase your activity, walk at least 30min. a day (cut down the time you spend on computer and video games)
Cut out junk food especially fast food.(or least cut way down)
Eat fruit and vegetables
Drink A LOT of WATER every day.
If you do those things you will loose weight
GOOD LUCK

Read the recommendations below. Also, go to the book store and locate the book "Weight Training for Dummies". In chapter 15 you will find excellent information on how to perform abdominal exercises correctly. Page 218 of the book dispels all the myths surrounding abdominal training.
The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity. Get a fitness calculator that you can put on your cell phone and computer. This will allow you to easily calculate this formula, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.
*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as white potatoes) and drink lots of water.
Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d
*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.
Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with excellent resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter.
A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.
*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.
*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com
Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier. Email me if you want a good indoor air purifier recommendation and if you have other questions.

13 year olds shouldn't be on the internet. I believe no one under the age of 18 should be allowed internet access, for safety reasons. Get off the internet and have your parents/guardians buy you a work out video.

Correction: You want to lose FAT...not WEIGHT. Do moderate exercise, such as walking 2 to 3 miles a day, insted of being glued to your computer all the time. It really works....try it.
