if god is powerfull,why did he put himself or his son under torture on the cross?

if somebody says to save us,he can save us without being tortured!
if somebody says this is to forgive and clear our faults,why he was punished as he is not guilty?if we r the guilty then we r to be punished!!!
besides if he is the judge of the universe,so in front of whom he want us to get forgived?
what happened to the universe when he died,if he is controlling it,it should got collapsed!!!!
if you say that the son was the one who was crossed,to make the father forgive the guilty.what logic is this!!!!!
had u ever seen the king punished crossed and tortured his son the prince to forgive the criminals in the prison!!!!!
there is something wrong with this belief
if i believe that the jesus had died for me and i'm forgived.am i free to do faults?

i believe in god being extremely powerfull.

Jesus is God. He willingly died on the cross so that we all (human beings) can be forgiven our sins. We must confess our sins (all of us are sinners ) and ask for His forgiveness and not commit sin any more. God caused Himself to be born of man(Mary) so that He could understand our nature. He gave us free will. We choose to believe in Him and to obey His word or not. Jesus is God and He was also human. His was the perfect sacrifice to reconcile us to Him. All of humanity, all races of people, anybody, can recieve His forgiveness so long as we believe that He is God and ask His forgiveness. You can find these answers for yourself in the Bible. Find yourself a good Church and attend Sunday school classes. You are asking the question so maybe you are searching for real enlightenment. May the Lord bless you and give you your answers Himself.

Why do you ask such inflammatory questions? If you don't want to believe that story then OK. You are not alone. But in asking a question like that you are perpetuating a battle that to me is getting really dated and leads nowhere. I'm willing to bet money not one single person on this forum has changed their mind about what they believe in . This is a silly fiction about God; none of it is true.

These people are lucky God is not the judgmental freak they make Him out to be. If he were, they would all be toast.

I suggest you get a copy of the course in miracles. It unravels the Judeo, Christian, Muslim fantasy about God and helps you realize that religion has made a mockery of the loving God that created all of us.

God was invented by man and not the other way around. There is a higher power but my best guess would be that who or whatever it is, it's nature might just be beyond our ability to comprehend it. umm if u dont believe in god, i see that, thats you point of view and all but... somebody once told me, you don't know what god's doing , or what god's thinking, not even 1% of it. and Thats thinking to highly of some "thing" you dont even get to see. i truly believe that there is no god, jesus, heaven & hell. You can only be forgiven if you mean it in your heart and in your heart want to change, so no you are not free to do whatever you want.

That is what it is like between God and us. God is holy, perfect, and uncorruptable. But humans are sinful and flawwed and corrupt. Our hearts have evil in them so we cannot be in the presence of a holy God because God cannot tolerate sin in his presence. (If someone handed you a glass of water and told you - there is just a little bit of pee in it, would you drink it? Not a chance! In the same way, sin is repulsive to God)

But God loves us, so he found a way to seperate sin from the people that he loves. He took my sin and put it in Jesus - he punished my sinful nature in Christ instead of in me.

So Jesus Christ takes my sinfulness and gives me his perfection so I can stand in the presence of a holy God.
