I am trying to find out about looking up medications for a friend. I need to identfy one for them.

Try the website www.pdrhealth.com. It is affiliated with the giant red reference book, the Physician's Desk Reference, found in many medical settings. Most library reference departments will also have a hard copy of the PDR.

Any pharmacist should be happy to help you with your problem. They're very well-versed in identification of medicines.
Also, you can look it up in a Physician's Desk Reference (commonly called a PDR), but that reference manual isn't comprehensive, as pharmaceutical companies actually pay to have their products listed in it. But it's a good place to start if you don't want to ask anyone face-to-face.
