I use their own ignorance as a reason to bash people who believe in god.

It is rare that people get "bashed" without doing something (even inadvertently) to provoke it. I have been guilty of this in the past with people who assume that because they "believe", everybody else should too.
Perhaps if you keep your beliefs to yourself, no-one will "bash" you. Or whoever you are asking on behalf of.

nobody is perfect no matter what or who you believe in, and by them bashign religon by using imperfection as an excuse they are showing the imperfection in themselves

Usually that is only done when someone is trying to push their beliefs on others. Either way, we are all sinners with our own "demons", so the last thing you should do is take offence if it is pointed back at you. We strive to be like Him, but are far from it.
