Some people only need 1/2 a bun [open faced dog], whilst others need no bun at all. So, for those who wish a 2-sided bun it is available, simply ask for the original hot dog with everything on it. As for myself, I like grilled hot dogs without any buns, as bread is fattening and of course, a staple and if you eat a lot of bread you can gain extra pounds without thinking about.

Hello,
I just asked this question the other day, when i ran into the bread guy delivering at my local supermarket...
He just went -heheeheee...
Therefore i am left with no choice but to come to the conclusion that the meat packers are in cahoots with the bakers all across the country...
Because the hot dogs i buy come in a package of seven...
And then i always have a roll left over to feed the ducks in the river at my home...
Maybe the ducks are in on it along with the meat packers and the bakers...HMMM

Yes, this is not by mistake. They sell hot dog rolls in packages of 8 so you will buy 2 packages. It is a marketing ploy. Just like they will put milk in the back of the store so you will walk by everything else so that you might buy other things evev though you maybe just went to get the milk.

i'm not entirely sure, but if you buy 4 packages of hot dogs and 5 packages of hot dog buns, you WILL achieve franquility (ommm, ommm, ommm)

so that you spend more money buying another pack buns, and then more hot dogs to cover the rest of the buns, so you still got to buy more of each to have enough, and so on, and son on, just so you will spend more money, it never will come out right though.

They probably figure either you're going to waste a couple of the dogs (dropping them or something), or not everyone will want a bun.

because they think it's logical that 20% of people eating the buns will put something else on them other than hotdogs. they just hope that you are equally as logical.

(there's actually no real reason. just a ton of made up ones)
