A lot of people say that beauty is skin deep, it's the inside the counts, etc. but no one ever wants to end up with someone hideous. People just don't want to admit it. Is there something wrong with that? Does that make us shallow?

Yes, we are all shallow... luckily mother nature provides for that by making us seemingly blind to imperfections once we fall in love. Hence the say, "Love is blind". Best wishes

I'm afraid that most people are shallow. That seems to be the consensus of what people think of other people. I think most of us are guilty of that.
Beauty is skin deep is only a phrase. Is that what we TRULY think? It sounds nice when you are saying it to someone else. Makes us sound "not shallow". What we have to do is put ourselves in the "not so pretty" person's shoes. Would we want to be shunned by someone because we don't look a certain way?
I will tell you this and I have found it to be truth. A majority of men/women who are beautiful/handsome have the worst personality. Yet some of us would rather be with them then someone who isn't quite as nice looking but has a better personality and a caring heart.
So in a nut shell........YES WE ARE SHALLOW.

I think what it really means is you're not with a person just because of how they look.....because that's shallow. They have to have more going on on the inside. The outside is just the wrapping.

Most shallow people are just jack ***',I've been told I'm good looking yet both my wives were full figured women in the 250+ range,physical looks only carry you so far

Not everyone is shallow. I would be willing to date an average looking person if the person had a killer personality vs. a hottie that was boring as hell!

i dont think every one is shallow most people are i dont think i am as long as somones clean i dont really mind if they have a bent nose or big ears if there a nice person it shouldn't matter but if there horrible and ugly they've got no hope
