Put it this way, if your Boyfriend's brother or best friend was hitting on you, would he be just as cool. Or more likely if it was a stranger who hit on you at a bar, how would he react. Your boyfriend might not be so understanding because it is his father. But if he cares for you he should respect you enough to understand that its not cool, no matter who's hitting on you, especially his father.
I don't know how old u are, but irregardless, a father should never disrespect you by flirting with you. There's no way that's ever right.

Is your boyfriend's mother around? If so, tell her...that will be a fast way to get the father to stop. Also tell your boyfriend that you do not feel comfortable with the way his father is acting. Don't accept his claim of it being harmless. If your boyfriend really likes you he'll tell his dad to stop.
Btw, no, that's not normal at all. Don't get yourself in a situation where you may be alone in the room with his father. You never know if he's a sexual predator or not.

If it makes you uncomfortable, then it is NOT "nothing" as your boyfriend says.Your boyfriend needs to develop some respect for your feelings. Do you really want to be in a relationship with a guy who has no respect for your feelings? Why is he allowing his father to disrespect you and do/say things that make you uncomfortable? Have you tried talking to your boyfriend's father and letting him know how you feel? Is your boyfriend's father married? If so, tell your boyfriend's father that if he doesn't knock it off, you will tell his wife. Or, if all else fails, tell your boyfriend that if his dad doesn't knock it off, you don't want to see him (your boyfriend) anymore. Then see if your boyfriend still thinks that his dad's behavior is "nothing" and that he is just "playing around"!

You might be onto something. I think, you're in the right. No matter what your bf and his father tell you, there will always be those lingering questions- what if ______ wasn't present? Is it really playing around? And other questions. If _____ wont take you seriously, maybe you need to move on to a new bf.

No, it's not normal. Just try to avoid or ignore him. He'll probably eventually get the message. If the situation continues, tell your boyfriend to talk to his dad about his behavior and how you feel about it. If he won't, then maybe it's time to pack up.

Your right, it is white trash. Your boyfriends dad has overstepped a boundary. Let him know in uncertain terms he is being totally not appropriate.
If he is married, I am sure his wife would be so totally embarrased and put him back in his place. He is too old to be acting like that. Dirty old man!

talk to your boyfriend again. or when you all are in the same room. or w/ his father (for some weird reason) then tell him to stop. and if worse comes to worse...you might have to tell your bf that you can't see him if his dad doesn't stop acting like that. or at least (preferably) not go to his house anymore. that's just freaky.
