Why put yourself through allergic agony just to own a dog? Get a pet that doesn't have fur.

I believe there's no problem about it.
I have a friend who is allergic to cats and she has 3. The only thing she had to do is keep the house really tidy and make sure there isn't a lot of fur around.
The best option would be to ask a doctor what exactly your allergy and reaction is and then find the better option to fight it or prevent it around dogs. That way you could have a dog and never feel sick.

Depends on the type of reaction. Best to spend a trial time with the dog to see if a reaction develops. There are also breeds less likely to cause allergic reactions (less or no shedding).

That would depend on your allergic reaction and how much reaction you can tolerate. I would go with either a poodle or a poodle cross which are not algergenic dogs. They actuall have hair not fur and produce no dander which is where alergies come from. Good luck.

Non shedding dogs are your best bet. It also depends on how bad a reaction you get to the dogs. Is it an occasional sneeze or is it a full alergy attack with whizzing? If it's the all out attack, get rid of the animal. If it's just the occasional sneeze, get an OTC med at the pharmacy but check with your doc as to which one is best for you

There are several breeds of dogs which are not going to aggrevate your allergies. Poodles, chihuahuas are two but I know there are others. You can check on line at pets.com
someone should be able to answer your questions. Also, your doctor can probably give you a good prescriiption if you already have the dog.

It really depends on the reaction. Most all dogs shed somewhat.
