Put the playstation down. Get jobs. You are spending too much time with it. It is your body's way of saying I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!

The short answer is Flicker Vertigo - a condition that cuases dizzyness and nausea when the human eye is subjected to strobe lights or flickering images.

The paragraph below is an exerpt from an from an article on i-med.com that examines the causes of video game sickness:

The best described effects of cybersickness are its visual effects. Three primary visual side effects have been reported. The first side effect is nausea. A major problem with VR systems is that even the "best" systems, have a lag time between what the user sees and what the user expects to see. This lag time is enough to upset the equilibrium of the inner ear, resulting in nausea. The second side effect of VR immersion is asthenopia (eyestrain) (2,8). The resulting eyestrain could be caused by the constant refocusing of the eyes to the different images in the virtual world. Additionally, eyestrain may be caused by a distortion in the expected and actual perception. This could be caused by several factors such as a distorted or flickering picture. The third effect is the impact that electromagnetic fields have upon the structures of the eye. The effect of an electromagnetic field (EMF) on all tissues has been well documented (9), and will be further addressed in the section on neural effects. Among EMF's, much concern has been centered upon X-rays. X-rays have long been noted for the damage they can cause and the eyes are not an exception (10). Some VR displays use cathode ray tubes (CRT) to create images, and some CRT's produce X-rays. "The 'R-squared' rule is important in considering EMF and VR design. This rule states that the intensity of a field decays as the square of the distance to its target. Thus, small increases in distance can have a substantial benefit in reducing a field. Small changes in a HMD design might substantially reduce risk" (8).

Some games are designed such that the graphic imaging are moving at intense rates of speed. Your eyes are trying to keep up with everything, but in short, you're suffering from sensory overload. This has happened to me (and my brother) with one particular video game. We both suffered from nausea and headaches as a result. Unfortunately, there was no remedy, so we had to stop playing it all together.

There is a condition known and documented called cyber sickness. It is related to the slight delay in actions you do within a game and the miniscule delay between when you perform them and when the console responds and the action occurs on screen. You can read more about this condition in this document put together by NASA.

Both could be true, possibly eplipsy but more likely motion sickness. Look away from the screen often, don't play/watch for too long.

That's too bad, I love video games. Good luck.

You might be exhibiting symptoms related to epilepsy. Discontinue play and /or take frequent breaks, like every 15 minutes. See a doctor.

its the same feeling you would get on a boat...its just a case of motion sickness where you are moving but you aren't...

they are all related like in driving a car or on a boat or playing a game...some people can handle it some cannot...

either adjust or don't play.

Have you had your eyes checked lately??? It could very well be that you need glasses. I know that if I am at the computer for prolonged periods without my glasses, I feel all kinda washed out and woozy and headachy. Get your eyes checked dear, you may be surprised.
