Read the Old Testament. The Hebrews were instructed, by God, to conquer lands and commanded on various occasions to kill men, women, children, and all animals of certain peoples. So, as a parallel, you could say that is correct, but in some cases, more true of the Bible itself, than in movies of today.

As the Bible contains several books that cover the history of about 1500 years of the Jewish and Christian religion, there are stories of war, murder, etc, included. Any book that truthfully tells the history of mankind will have stories about killings. Fact of history that they happen everyday. Watch the news sometime.
As many as in current movies? Depends on the movie. More than some movies, less than others.

There is a lot of killing in The Bible, I think if they were to make the entire Bible a movie it would be rated R.

That's a fairly weird parallel, but yes, the Bible depicts and condones killing under a variety of circumstances.

More.
God ordered entire countries of people wiped out in the Old Testament so his people could have their promised land.
I wish it wasn't so, but it is.
