I have always had a problem with obsession over a band or a celebrity. How can I break this continuing pattern?

Find out what void this obsession fills inside of you - does it help you feel in control of something, does it give your life meaning, does it make you feel connected - what exactly is the positive reinforcement that your obsessions provide? Once you identify this, then work on replacing it with something else.

Keep repeating to yourself - "they are not real, they are a marketing ploy"...because they are. Most of what you think you see is manufactured to sell you something. Everything seems perfect if you don't get too close to it.
Get a real live boy. They are ever so much more fun, and 3 dimensional.

I had one over a TV celebrity during a period when my mate was starving me for affection. It all ended when she got a baby and there was lots to do in the home.

think something more significant than a band or a celebrity. a lover, perhaps? do you have a boyfriend? obesess about him instead. just find something more significant and meaningful than some silly male celeb. you can do it. don't try. just do it.

You have to love yourself first. Also have to remember they are just normal people like me and you. They just happen to work on tv. They are no different at all. I hope this helps.
