No, just very "obnoxiously" annoying. However, if it gets too loud and becomes a distraction or "stumbling block" to the others in the church, maybe one of the ushers should just usher that person right on out to pray on their own.

And despite what some "obnoxious" people might think, a loud prayer is not necessarily more holy than a heart-felt, Spirit led quiet prayer.

I've been to churches where it is completely silent and contemplative. It wouldn't be a sin, but perhaps it would be rude to be loud there. However, I have also been to churches where the organ is loud, the choir is loud, the preacher is loud, and the praise is loud. The whole church is a swinging. At those churches, you SHOULD pray loud!

it is not a sin if you do it solely in your conversation with God, not for others to hear. Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for praying out loud in the synagogues and on the street because they did it for attention. The Pharisees felt good when they confessed their sins and prayed in front of people and were praying for the wrong reason. If you can help it, try to keep your prayer between God and yourself when you are confessing your sins unless you are with fellow Christians who understand your situation and are praying with you. God Bless

No, I don't think so, but Jesus said it was wrong to pray pretentiously.

Mark 12:38-40
As he taught, Jesus said, "Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the marketplaces, and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. They devour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely."

Prayer is what u make of it. If u want to be obnoxiously loud in the house of the Lord, just be prepared to answer to him eventually, u know our Lord has a good sense of humor.

Well, by your use of the word "obnoxiously" I would say yes.

Obnoxiously implies that you're aware that you're inconsiderately and rudely disturbing other people. That's not very loving. That's very prideful. That's sin.

If it's unintentional and you try your best not to be so loud, but you still can't help it, that's not sin.

It isn't a 'sin' but no it should not be done (unless of course if it's the priest) because it is a matter of behaving well among others. To do that just to annoy other people is childish and pointless.
